Crowne Plaza Changi Airport hotel's new 10-storey building extension is Singapore's first commercial project to adopt the Prefabricated Pre-finished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) techniques, and it will boost an additional 243 guestrooms on 10,000 m gross floor area.

Opened newly in August 2016, the building extension is completed in just 17 months from design, manufacturing to installation. PPVC techniques change the way construction industry build, and it enables buildings to be constructed with up to half the time of a traditional construction method. As a result, manpower and other running cost are significantly reduced. USG Boral is pleased to be part of this landmark project with the use of our 1hr fire rated interior wall system.
